Giuseppe Verdi is a figure as close as few to the spirit of the Small Festival. A childhood that was not easy and a talent forged with much sweat and sacrifice. A great artist who, even at the height of success, never forgot his homeland, and who liked to call himself a “farmer and musician.” At this time it is essential to go to the essence of things while strenuously defending one’s identity and mission. Any cultural initiative that stems from an idea cannot succumb to the lure of mass communication or show business; instead, it is necessary to relaunch projects with more originality and quality. This is why the sixth edition of the Festival returns to its essence: the dissemination of music.
