The third edition of the Piccolo Festival closes the first cycle of a journey that began three years ago with enthusiasm, passion and, grant me, even a bit of recklessness.

We have come a long way together, and we can be confident for the future: almost all the companions with whom we started this journey are still with us

And many new ones have been added.

This year the festival has greatly expanded its scope with, among other things, a show

in the Udine Estate playbill, a debut in San Daniele del Friuli, and an opera in Maniago, in the province of Pordenone. Our cultural policy is paying off: focusing on collaboration and resource sharing, around a unified and organic project, is the winning choice.

Our idea of sharing certainly does not mean the erasure of particularities: on the contrary, we intend to preserve and enhance the individual individualities of the area; this is how shows such as Fuejs and the biennial project on the Ciceri collection, both in collaboration with the Tricesimo Municipal Administration, or the challenge of bringing “The Country Philosopher” to one of the Region’s most beautiful historic homes, thanks to the sensitivity and curiosity of Count Luigi Deciani, are born. The hope is that all this will be a stimulus to think of a truly new and collaborative way of doing culture and promoting the area: culture must become the added value for our future, particularly that of our Region.
