The Castelvecchio winery is located in an area that was the scene of the Great War, with the territory wrested from the Austrian Empire and the villa used as the headquarters of the Italian military command. Even today, the landscape retains traces of those battles: soldiers&#8217; graffiti in the villa&#8217;s hall, trenches and walkways in the woods.
